Problem Installing Newer Version: "Application with same identity is already installed."

If you tried uninstalling previous versions of Ring Runner, but are still encountering a problem during installation that reads:

Unable to install this application because an application with the same identity is already installed. To install this application, either modify the manifest version for this application or uninstall the preexisting application.

Follow these instructions on how to delete your ClickOnce application cache:

To find the folder mentioned above you might need to enable showing hidden folders:

Once this has been done, you should be able to successfully install the new version of Ring Runner.

If that doesn't work, you can try this other method:

Make sure Ring Runner is uninstalled, then Go to your Start Menu and enter "run" into the search bar, the "run" program should appear at the top of the list, launch it and enter rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache into the text field and click OK: after this you can reinstall Ring Runner.
