Game won't start

Hi. I've just bought the game on Desura.
At first it installed correctly and it started OK, but I had the problem with options screen. Nothing was there, just tabs on top (video, sound...). Couldn't click them. The game worked just fine, but I wanted to go to fullscreen and also change my controls. I uninstalled the game and installed again. Now it won't start at all. This is the output I got:

Hi and welcome to the forums Nole.

The options screen glitch is an issue a couple people have had, and I am looking into it, hope to have it fixed next patch. I say hope because none of our test machines experience the problem, so I am flying blind sort of speak.

As for the reinstall problem, try uninstalling and following the steps in this forum post.

Thanks. I found out about this 10 minutes ago and just did that before you replied and it worked. Now just to fix options screen, that problem remains.

Where are the options saved? I want to reconfigure the keys and set fullscreen until you fix the problem.

Glad to hear it. In the meantime, if you want to play in full screen, or maybe up the anti aliasing, you can manually edit the options save file. It is located under Documents/SavedGames/RingRunner/RingRunner/AllPlayers/Options. You would be looking for the bit that says Display Mode Windowed. Just replace Windowed with Fullscreen and it should work. Anti Aliasing is under Anti Alias Amount, it accepts 0,2,4,8,16. Just make sure to make a backup copy of the options file just in case.

The Keybinds might be a bit trickier, if you run into any problems just let me know.

Maybe this will help you debug the problem:

1. In-game options also don't work
2. When I go to in-game Bindings screen, it works fine, but when I go to Info for any ability, the only control that receives mouse focus is the big text box describing ability. Close button doesn't work, just as in Options.
3. In the main menu, Pilot Data behaves just like Options, there's only section names above and Close button that doesn't work.
