Multiplayer & No Servers

Is there any reason why you aren't updating Ring Runner on the Desura platform? Should I abandon using Desura to play Ring Runner? I rather like Desura personally, I think of it as "the other Steam" but I also really love Ring Runner (lots!) so if I need to go another route to stay up to date and play multiplayer then I'll do it.:

If your Desura copy of Ring Runner has an icon on your desktop to run the game through, try that. That should automatically update your game.  Also I think start menu icon may work that way too. After updating this way, running the game through Desura itself may not work.

Isn't perfect, but from what I understand, Desura and others aren't playing very nicely with the style of installer / updater he's using.

No joy for the desktop shortcut but starting from the Windows Start menu did the trick! Thanks for the heads up Ratty!

Maybe I'll be able to find y'all out there in some multiplayer now.

Just curious is there anywhere online where I can check what is the most up to date version?

Right now I'm in version 1.0.0.3 I bought the game from triple B studios so if I'm not up to date please remind me how to update.

If you got the game from anywhere but GoG and you are running it from the desktop icon it creates during installation, it should always be up to date. You have to manually patch the GoG version.

Just make sure you launch from RingRunner.appref-ms.

Ok, that's why the shortcut didn't work. I used the option to create a desktop shortcut through Desura, since I didn't notice the one created by installation in the constant clutter that is my desktop.

Is multiplayer broken?

No, it's just very few people who play it regularly. I often check it, but haven't seen people on in some time.
You can always add me over Skype. I use the same name, we could play a few.
