Multiplayer, Hangar and other game modes unlocked when?

Hi,

I'm a little unsure how early early is in the campaign before the game unlocks hangar, multiplayer etc.

Not that I'm that long into the game but just wondering if I'm on the right path  

I have just met the "brain" thing and my completion is 103,1250 if that say you anything.

You get use of the Hangar by the time you're a few missions into Austrellis 5. You first get simple customization, then you can choose an entirely different ship.

However, when Multiplayer unlocks I do not know.

And, what Brain thing? You don't mean Hapty? It should be unlocked by the time you get to him.

Ok, I'm on the mission called "Time Levee"...

Does ship customization ever unlock in the Campaign?

I have the Hangar and can customize for the Scenarios, but I'm still being given pre-determined ships in the Campaign.

Yes, you get to start customizing just about when you leave the Litter Glitter Galaxy. Which is about 33% through the game.

I tried it in the Scenarios and got stomped.

The scenarios and multiplayer are tuned for Rank 5 ships. :)Though they are possible on lower difficulties with a Rank 3.

You can tell by the fact that the Spire Battle, for example, involves Rank 4 Ships. So you wanna get rank 4 or more before you crack down on them in earnest.

Though some of us DID beat wave mode on Sage difficulty with a Rank 3 Hull, just saying.
