Where my game files at?
Hi,
Sorry if I'm needlessly creating a new topic, but I couldn't find answers on here for my specific problem.
My laptop has 2 GPUs, the integrated Intel chip and a GeForce GT555M. It seems that the Intel chip has issues with XNA software (I can't load missions at all and the menu cursor is slow as balls), so I'd like to tell my driver software to load the game using the GeForce instead, but I can't find an executable, or even an install folder.
1. Am I being a bit thick? 2. Is there, in fact, an exe file?

Hi and welcome to the forums Gojira,
Where did you purchase the game? I ask because GoG, for example, installs to a different location.
GoG installs the game to c:\gog games\ring runner - flight of the sages\
If you got it from another site, then the answer is a bit trickier. The game uses ClickOnce deployment to handle updates, so the install location is pretty hard to find.
If you browse to C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0 and search that folder for ringrunner.exe you should be able to find it. You will need to enable viewing hidden folders for AppData to show up.
It should also show up under recently used in the nvidia control panel, assuming you just recently launched the game.

Re: Where my game files at?
See, I am being an idiot. First, I didn't realise I wasn't actually signed in to the forums, then I find out the Nvidia control panel has a "recent" list that I could have been using for all those unrecognised Steam games. D'oh!
I bought it direct from your site, but it's working a treat now, so I guess you don't need to know that. Thank you very much for your reply and for the awesome space game.

Game files
Hi, new user, and this seems like an appropriate thread.
Basically, I'm wondering why your game installs this way, and can you please change it? Alternatively, can I make it install elsewhere myself? I use a 64 Gb SSD for my operating system, and I do not use it for games, and I would rather not have file patching and the like occurring on it.
All help gratefully received.

Re: Where my game files at?
The GoG version of our game uses a different installer/patching system. We can get you a key if you'd like.
The version from our site, and all other distribution sites (save for GoG), uses ClickOnce deployment so we can easily patch all versions of the game at once. We are constantly adding/improving/balancing the game so it was important for us to have a convenient system for patching.

A GoG key would be useful yes, that's very kind of you.
You should probably know (if you don't already) that the game doesn't install properly when you use Capsule (Green Man Gaming downloader). You have to manually unzip the files and run the setup... and then the game starts, but you can't find the installation folder, for now obvious reasons.

Re: Where my game files at?
Thanks for the heads up, I'll put it in our known issues thread.
I'll see if I can get my brother to give you a key.

Re: Where my game files at?
Thank you again.
Not the end of the world if you can't, obviously it's not a big install, but if I had known I would have bought the GOG version.
PS I am really enjoying what I have played of the game so far.
